This fall, Greensboro is at a turning point. With four City Council seats open—the most in recent memory—we have a rare chance to reset our city’s priorities and direction for years to come.
Every registered voter in Greensboro is eligible to cast a ballot, regardless of party affiliation. Same-day registration is available during early voting, provided eligibility requirements are met. Who Can Register. Eligible voters must:
A historic municipal election for our city. There are FIVE open City Council seats. Low turnout (only 16% of voters) in the last municipal polls means your vote has more power than ever before.
The in-person, early voting period for the October 2025 Municipal Primary Elections is Thursday, Sept. 18, starting at 8 a.m. until Saturday, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. Only registered voters who live within the municipality of Greensboro are eligible to vote in the Municipal Primary Election. Greensboro precincts will also be open on Election Day, Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
